About the event

In this 2-hour workshop we'll combine mindful movement and breathing techniques with design thinking methods to address both the stress present in your body as well as reframe the stressors that cause the stress response in the first place.

We'll begin with an overview of the physiology of stress and the stages of burnout and then dive right into experiencing the techniques that help heal and recover from burnout and chronic stress.  We'll finish with a juicy savasana for integration!

Investment: $35

What you'll need: Comfy clothes to move in, a yoga mat, a water bottle, and maybe a journal or notebook for reflection

About Your Facilitator: Sarah Waylett is a former Consulting Executive as well as a recovering perfectionist and a serial burnout-overachiever. Over time to cope, she studied methods to manage her severe anxiety through yoga and dance. At the same time, she also began to apply the human-centered, design thinking methods she used to facilitate business problem solving to her more personal questions. The more she practiced these evidence-based methods, the more they worked their magic as a catalyst for her as well as her teams and organizations! Sarah now shares her new way of working to recover and heal from chronic stress and burnout with the world through Dreamgarten.  She believes that when you guide people to find what’s inside themselves and encourage them to think about the human at the center of any problem, the creativity they bring to solving those problems is endless.
